Just incredible. This tiny little restaurant packs a serious katsu punch. Honestly, just go. The breading on the chicken is next level flavorful. And the service is so awesome that my wife considers the chef a part of her family. When you adopt a chef, you know that food is S-tier. Love it!

I came here for lunch and had tonkatsu ramen. The broth was really good and it didn't taste like it was from a mix. Great service, and the restaurant while small is not crowded. It is also in the same shopping center as Spa World, so I recommend coming her after a spa visit.

The owner was very attentive and made sure we were good. Food was delicious. Got the potato shrimp and was impressed. Potato was crispy and the shrimp was not overcooked and juicy. The rose katsu tells the same tale. Would recommend!

Kazone is the perfect spot to satisfy your Katsu cravings in the Centreville area. With a casual dining atmosphere, the menu offers a variety of appetizers, Katsu cuts and flavors, and noodle and rice dishes. We started with the Potato Shrimp and Croquettes as appetizers, followed by the Cheese Katsu--a pork tenderloin stuffed with gooey Mozzarella cheese. It was served with slaw, rice, radish, and two flavorful dipping sauces. My partner opted for the Curry Katsu, featuring pork tenderloin accompanied by a side of rich Japanese curry. Everything arrived hot and delicious, making it an ideal comfort meal that's both quick and satisfying.

Wanted to find a lunch spot in the area that I haven't been to and I landed at Kazone. I love katsu so it was a great choice. The lunch special was such a great deal. You get a salad, soup, katsu and a bowl of noodles. They are not busy during the weekdays at lunch time. Plenty of parking in this shopping center. Pretty quick service here.

Reliable pick for katsu (pork or chicken) with a serious variety of preparations to choose from as well. No joke - there's way more than the usual 1-3 choices. Parking is no issue as well as seating for small or large groups as you can move the tables together. Kudos to the waiter for remembering so many people's orders from a large group. There is also a lunch special available only on weekdays if you want katsu + noodles at a good price (in today's market). Korean and Japanese dishes, so you can expect some Japanese food to be available here as well.

This place has some really good Katsu, but is it worth visiting? Personally if you want something quick to eat for lunch or if you just like eating anything Katsu in general then you're in the right spot. Food is made fresh daily and made with " love " as others claimed. This place is small but don't expect nothing fancy, it's very casual and you'd probably be out of here in 20-30 minutes since the food comes out fast. I got the Chicken Katsu because in my opinion it's a good test to see if comes out golden brown and when you do bite into it you taste the juices from the chicken. A flavorful bite none less. Before my Katsu was served, they do give you a mini salad and a small bowl of miso soup. This is pretty standard for places that do serve Japanese food but the salad was okay and the soup was honestly lukewarm. They aren't the main attractions here so I can be a bit lenient here. When it did come out, the plate had Chicken Katsu on one side, with sauces and radish on the other. The middle of the plate had rice and more salad too. Taking a bite out of the Katsu, it passed the test. It was juicy with every bite and paired with the non spicy/spicy sauce it enhanced the flavor too. I do think this is a great contender for best Katsu in the DMV but I'm honestly not sure what other places have better Katsu in general...? We'll find out eventually for a clear winner. Oh yeah. My server was the only guy working in the front but he was nice and was able to ring me up with those portable phone point of sale systems... more places should just carry that honestly. My biggest gripes is the portion size. Maybe I just eat too much but one cutlet isn't going to make me full. If you do come here, expect to order another dish or an appetizer. Otherwise, very nice casual ambient place to stop if you want something quick.
